Ideally the comic books you are trying to sell would be entombed in a sealed archival-grade plastic coffin, aka “slabbed.”
Unfortunately for us garden variety collectors that is cost prohibitive except for the most valuable of comic books, unless you are trying to sell them individually on eBay or working a consignment deal.
If, like a lot of inherited comic book collections, the purpose is to get rid of the entire batch in one transaction to a comic book dealer then there are some things the buyer will take into consideration.
