April sees guest artists continuing their comic strip appearances.
Mimi Simon opens her third of four weeks as Rex Morgan M.D. guest artist as Terry Beatty recovers from heart surgery. Terry is scheduled to return as artist with the April 19, 2026 Sunday page.
Sandy Jarrell continues into his second week of an extended stint as the Flash Gordon guest artist. According current Flash Gordon mastermind Dan Schkade Sandy will be the artist for the entire “Ex Libris” story arc:
Sandy will be with us for this entire storyline — EX LIBRIS — which will delve into aspects of Mongothic history you are NOT prepared for, but will be unable to keep yourselves from following us into. Stay tuned.
For the third week Pop Steve McGarry has turned the art for KidTown over to heir apparent Luke McGarry. Rather than “guest artist” maybe Luke should now be called “co-artist” as he and Steve have split the art duties on the the 14 Sunday pages this year down the middle with seven each.
