Rose is Rose by Don Wimmer

Below are some comic and cartoon books scheduled for March 2026 release (or so).
Images and links from a variety of publishers and outlets, though ordering through your local comic shop or independent book store is a good idea.

A few more March releases before the month is gone and a couple special deals.

The Complete Annie by Leonard Starr Volume One (or paperback)

We are proud to present the first book in a fourteen volume series reprinting the classic comic strip Annie by Leonard Starr.

The five stories in this volume, which originally appeared in newspapers, from December 3, 1979 to April 26, 1981 have never been reprinted before. Reuben award-winning artist Leonard Starr wrote and illustrated Annie from 1979 to 2000 and up until now only two of his fifty-eight stories have ever been reprinted since their first appearance.

Each volume in the series will include complete Annie stories in the original order that they were published, as well as rare photos and promotional illustrations, many from the original art.

Iguana Miss You! by Sandra Boynton

From a beloved New York Times bestselling author comes a terrific picture book (for all ages!) that says a heartfelt goodbye to a friend, a neighbor, or a loved one. The perfect going-away gift!

“You’re going away. It’s sad, but it’s true. I don’t know what to say. I don’t know what to do…”

So begins this heartfelt goodbye book, voiced by a particularly poetic lizard. (We all have our strengths.) Written and illustrated by the beloved and bestselling Sandra Boynton, Iguana Miss You! is the perfect going-away present for a much-valued friend or relation of any age.

Mopsy The Maid Who Makes You Laugh by Gladys Parker

Meet Mopsy – that funny, sexy, slightly dingy (yet impishly clever) maid of mirth! Conceived by brilliant cartoonist Gladys Parker, Mopsy was a joke-a-day panel that captivated readers for three decades. This “best of” collection, originally published in 1945 and today selling for hundreds of dollars, comprises cartoons that originally appeared in newspapers during the war years (1942 to 1945), when Parker was at her creative peak.

A year late on this one.

When the Going Was Good: An Editor’s Adventures During the Last Golden Age of Magazines by Graydon Carter

After working at both Time and Life and cofounding Spy, Graydon Carter
was offered the editorship of Vanity Fair in 1992. He knew he faced an uphill battle—how to make the esteemed and long-established magazine his own. With curiosity, fearlessness, and a love of recent history and glamour that would come to define his storied career in magazines, Carter succeeded in endearing himself to his editors, contributors, and readers, as well as those who would grace the pages of Vanity Fair. He went on to run the magazine with overwhelming success for the next two and a half decades.

When the Going Was Good is Graydon Carter’s lively recounting of how he made his mark as one of the most talented editors in the business, further planting a flag in Los Angeles with the legendary Vanity Fair Oscar party. With his inimitable voice and signature quip, he brings readers to lunches and dinners with the great and good of America, Britain, and Europe. He assembled one of the most formidable stables of writers and photographers under one roof, and here he re-creates in real time the steps he took to ensure Vanity Fair cemented its place as the epicenter of art, culture, business, and politics. Charming, candid, and brimming with stories, When the Going Was Good perfectly captures the last golden age of print magazines from the inside out.

Stefan Wood and the Comic Strip Appreciation Group are issuing books like crazy!

Ace O’Hara The 1956-1958 Newspaper Dailies by Conrad Frost and Basil Blackaller

The adventures of Ace O’Hara continue in this volume! As the strip progresses towards the later 1950’s and the beginning of the Space Age, the stories become less science fantasy and more social realism. A wife who is convinced by her husband to move to a space colony finds that she cannot adapt. A female pilot has to endure the misgivings of her male counterparts as she pilots a ship on a mission. A male pilot, having graduated, is on his first mission into space, but tragedy follows. And a race to the moon between competitors becomes something more when they discover a lost civilization!

Marlin Keel 1953 – 1954 dailies & Sundays by George Shedd

This adventure series is by George Shedd, who was once pressed into service to man the diver’s lifeline on a salvage operation. From this untidy wreck which was renched from the sea, and the other strange mysterious things which George Shedd saw as a diver’s helper, he dreamed a story that would probe the depths of the sea. This is the story of Marlin Keel, seafarer extraordinary, whose adventures are legion.

Not finding a place to order the physical book but a digital edition is available.

Here is the complete collection of Fantagraphics Peanuts books available in digital format.

The Collected Peanuts by Charles Schulz Book Bundle in Digital Format

Put on your zigzag t-shirt and grab your football, because we’ve collected every Peanuts comic book and strip into one bundle courtesy of Fantagraphics! This bundle of Peanuts books includes The Complete Peanuts spanning 1953 to 2000, the omnibus series of recolored classic strips Peanuts Every Sunday, the Peanuts Game Day Collection of comics for the sports fan in your life, collected strips like Snoopy vs. the Red Baron, and graphic novels like Batter Up, Charlie Brown! Get all the Peanuts your heart desires in one bundle—and, most importantly, every purchase at the price of your choice helps people in need find their Snoopy by supporting Canine Companions!

From Nat Gertler:

If you’re good with digital books, Fantagraphics and Humble Bundle have a frankly amazing deal. You can get 43 Peanuts books in download form for $25. What does this mean? You get every Peanuts newspaper strip, via The Complete Peanuts, every Peanuts Sunday strip in color via Peanuts Every Sunday, plus plenty of Peanuts from outside the strip in Complete Peanuts 1950-2000 (i.e., volume 26), plus, well, a few themed collections that have things that are already in the other books I mentioned, if somewhat more nicely presented at times. Plus, part of the money goes to the charity Canine Companions (an indeed, feel not only free but encouraged to put in some extra $$ both for that charity and for Fantagraphics, who took a severe financial hit when a distributor closed down not only owing them money but also holding a lot of their stock of publications, which is a matter still in the courts.)

I mean, I already have every single one of these books, but I’m still buying it just so that I have a portable reference copy of all the strips.
