CSotD: Sixty comics of the day

Keefe08
It's no longer news that Mike Keefe of the Denver Post has won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning, but, in the days that followed, the portfolios of the runners-up, Matt Davies and Joel Pett, have also come to light.

So here's a chance to see 60 pretty doggone good cartoons by simply clicking on their names.

Mike Keefe— The most accessible collection of his prize-winning cartoons was on Michael Cavna's site at the Washington Post, so you can also read more about his win. And, for what it's worth, The Denver Post is a client and I'm told this was one afternoon I shouldn't have been telecommuting the job — the boss throws a good party.

Matt Davies — who, BTW, already has a Pulitzer but lost his job in a cutback anyway. Gotta love this industry. He's yet another of us who has discovered that there is life after unemployment. It's not exactly an exclusive club and we don't all wield Pulitzers.

Joel Pett — of the Lexington Herald-Leader. I used to be both a client and a provider of content to this paper, and I even was brought in to address the state publishers' association when my counterpart at the H-L was heading Kentucky's Newspapers-in-Education group. They make something there called "bourbon." I tried some and it wasn't bad.
