Comic Strip of the Day

CSotD: Speaking of unwanted messages …

Candorville
No kidding.

Darrin Bell recently did some right-to-the-edge deadline work on the death of bin Laden, and he's done it again in today's Candorville. But, even getting his lead time down to a minimum, he had to time the strip to hit when the laughter was over, but before the coverage let up.

One can only hope that his timing continues to look brilliant and that this doesn't turn out to be a strip that could have run just about anytime this month.

Between riffs on this topic and lame attempts to outdo Sarah Palin's fractured grasp of history, it's been a tedious last two weeks or so in editorial cartooning, and the front page hasn't offered much more.
