The National Cartoonists Society Call For Entries: 2021 Reuben Divisional Awards

The National Cartoonists Society has begun its annual call for entries for consideration for the NCS Divisional Reuben Awards recognizing excellence in professional cartooning. As always, you DO NOT have to be a member of the NCS to have your work considered for a divisional award. All that is required is that the work be eligible as detailed below.

Your submissions must be delivered to their respective locations by February 2, 2022 for consideration.
All winners will be announced at the 76th Annual Reuben Awards

 

There is a two week window to gather and submit entries for consideration.

 

YOUR SUBMISSIONS MUST COMPLETED BY FEBRUARY 2, 2022 FOR CONSIDERATION FOR ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING DIVISION AWARDS:

The change this year is the three animation categories (Feature Animation, Television Animation, and Online Animation) have been amalgamated into the one “Art for Animated Media.”

For consideration is artwork created by an individual for the various fields of animation, including, but not limited to: Television, Features, Streaming Services, and Gaming.

 

Some rules:

  • You do not have to be a member of the NCS to enter.
  • There is no fee for submissions.
  • All submissions must complete the online entry form and comply with division requirements.
  • A sample of work may only be submitted to ONE division–no duplicates.
  • Only work FIRST published between the dates of January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 can be considered.

  1. Probably because while the studios enter the competition to get the honor on their resumés, they can’t be bothered to even film a 30 second thank you note for the awards presentation (see last year’s feature and television awards).
