Love Is… Political?

Just me? Or is today’s panel unusually political?

  1. The strip was created by a woman whose husband died, and in recent years she died as well, so this is a strip about love between consenting necrophiliacs.

  2. Didn’t know they still published “Love is.” I remember it from when I was a kid.

I think “Fake News” is part of the language these days and everyone uses it no matter your political party, so it’s almost not political anymore to use that phrase. It’s almost like saying, “That’s a lie!” or “Thanks not real!”

  3. “Fake News,” the exact term (rather than near-equivalent ones like Luegenpresse) originated, I think, with the Daily Show’s characterization of Fox News. We all know what happened after that.

  4. This is quite a surreal concept! If one ascribes any news one disagrees with as “fake” what is the veracity of ones statement love? “I only love you when you agree with me.”
