Non Sequitur Tops Plain-Dealer Survey on Potential Return

The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer editor George Rodrigue has penned a piece on Cleveland.com that reflects on the results of a survey they’d conducted to see whether their readers wanted to bring back Non Sequitur. Seventy-seven percent of the respondents voted to bring Non Sequitur back, while 14% voted to keep its replacement “Animal Crackers.”

From the piece:

My objections to the strip were not about substance, but about trust. The survey was prompted by the artist’s apology, and my question pertained, again, not to politics but to forgiveness. One reader e-mailed to say, “Let him back in, but if he does anything like this again, he’s out forever.” That makes sense to me.
