Charles Schulz’s Minneapolis home for sale

Charles Schulz owned a home Minneapolis for three years (1955 to 1958). For the first time in 50 years, that home is up for sale. The St. Paul Business Journal reports that aside from two wall murals painted by Sparky (which will be removed), there’s very little evidence that the 4,500 square foot home was owned by the iconic cartoonist. Still, the asking price is $850,000.

  1. Hopefully they’ll be donated to the Schulz Museum like the fantastic wall mural from his Colorado Springs home. Or better yet, the Museum could acquire the home and utilize it as a satellite facility with rotating exhibits!

  2. Why couldn’t they convert it into a museum and keep the paintings on the wall?

I have to ask, how much more evidence would they want to have? There’s already two wall murals! Informal poll: how many cartoonists have painted a wall mural in their homes? I haven’t. Of course, I don’t have 4,500 square feet of house, either.
