Wacom debuts two Cintiq tablets and new iPad stylus

Wacom has announced three new products – two of them tablets and the third a iPad stylus. As far as the tablets, there is the Cintiq Companion (starting at $1,999) – a 13 inch fully functional Cintiq tablet running Windows 8, Adobe Photoshop, Corel Painter, etc. The second tablet is the Cintiq Companion hybrid (starting $1,499) functions as a traditional Cintiq when hooked up to a Mac or PC, but “perfect for light, spontaneous work” when unconnected. They hybrid uses the Android OS and can run Android apps.

Lastly, they’ve released a pressure sensitive stylus for the iPad called the Intuos Creative Stylus. It boasts recognition of 2048 levels of pressure and works with several leading apps such as Bamboo Paper from Wacom, Adobe Ideas, Autodesk SketchBook Pro, ArtRage (Ambient Design Ltd) and Procreate (Savage Interactive). The pen retails at $99.95.
