Charlie Brown, Luci named 100 Most influential people who never lived

Interesting catch by Nat Gertler of the Aaugh.com:

Time Magazine has a book coming up announcing The 100 Most Influential People Who Never Lived ? and the team of Charlie Brown and Lucy made the list! In a one-page essay written by Time?s pop culture writer James Poniewozik, the book reflects not so much on them as individuals but on how they relate to each other, not as enemies but as opposites. This book doesn?t land until September, but you can preorder it now.

  1. Luci?
    Loosely
    She’s on a go-see

    And Charles Schulz influences me
    Cheering at the Grand Prix
All in color for a small fee…

  2. Murphy Brown’s on Dan Quayle’s top ten list of most
    influential people who ever lived.

  3. It’s an interesting angle, to portray Charlie and Lucy as opposites and not enemies, though I’m not sure how that would make them “most influential.” I actually never thought of the “Peanuts” characters as enemies, but only as opposites, and Lucy seemed an extreme opposite to everyone, especially Charlie and Linus. One could say Lucy was her own worst enemy.

Look forward to reading the article.
