Uclick Redesigns Sherpa to Better Integrate with GoComics

Starting today Uclick’s Comics Sherpa service has adopted the same interface that has been available to GoComics users, accessable through a primary tab on the GoComics website. Now GoComicsPro subscribers will be able to add Comics Sherpa features to their custom comics page along with GoComics features.

  1. That’s good news. Hopefully it gains these creators a little more exposure.

Could they now change the tab at the top of the site to be something a little more description than “sherpa”?

  2. Tony, I agree with you that the name Sherpa seems a bit criptic. But Uclick seems to want to stick with it as branding. Before this redesign, the tab that linked to Sherpa was simply just titled New Artists. Which I think is much more approachable for the average comics reader.

  3. New Artists= way better than Sherpa. Anyway isn’t a sherpa some smelly guide who carries your supplies and takes you up Mt. Everest? I cannot find the description of my Sherpa comic
Plan B http://www.gocomics.com/planb, nor can I find the description of the funny, and brilliant artist. Seems like they’ve eliminated the Editor’s Picks list, but that may be a good thing since I have seldom agreed with their choices.

  5. Just a thought, if David Stanford, who is the incredibly helpful and patient Sherpa editor, received emails from just about every Sherpa creator expressing their preference for the “New Artists” catagory title rather than “Sherpa”, perhaps Uclick would listen?
