Daryl Cagle is reporting that Sandy Huffaker and M.e. Cohen are retiring from editorial cartooning. Sandy was a staff cartoonist and then transitioned into a career of illustration before being pulled back into editorial cartooning during the Bush administration. With Bush’s term nearly over and his speculation that Obama will win the election, Sandy is opting to halt his syndicated cartooning.
M.e. is a freelancer who is slowing things down due to a detached retina. He’ll continue to do illustrations.
