Dave Astor has profiled The Clarion-Ledger editorial cartoonist Marshall Ramsey – one of the most prolific editorial cartoonist blogger – he’ll be soon posting his 3000th blog post. The blog is the second most popular blog and one of the top 15 most viewed features on the Clarion-Ledger’s web site. Some interesting tidbits from the story regarding Marshall’s blogging:
- He spends 2-3 hours a day on his blog posts
- He often begins blogging before 5 a.m. and blogs 7 days a week
- He averages about 10 posts a day
This is in addition to drawing seven cartoons a week (many of them local), doing about 70 speaking engagements a year (without charging a fee), doing charity work to fight melanoma (which Ramsey survived several years ago), and being the father of three young boys (ages 7, 4, and 3 months). “We don’t sleep much at our house,” observed Ramsey, who’s syndicated by Copley News Service.
