Robb Armstrong to speak at troubled high school

Jump Start” creator Robb Armstrong will be the guest motivational speaker to Winslow Township High School tomorrow. Winslow Township has the dubious honor of having the second highest number of students who are incarcerated or adjudicated in New Jersey. As part of an effort to reach out and inspire the teens to do stay out of trouble, Robb was asked to speak.

From the United Media press release:

Armstrong is a gifted motivational speaker, especially for children in crisis.  He speaks regularly to groups such as Congress’ Government Outreach, and will be the keynote speaker at this year’s National Association of Student Councils.

One of a handful of syndicated African-American cartoonists, Armstrong has a long history of community service. He has been recognized by the Governor of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Senate, House of Representatives, Department of Justice and Nestle’s “Men of Courage” program for his tireless efforts. Armstrong has delivered motivational speeches at myriad companies and schools, including Merck Pharmaceuticals, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Institution and the University of Pennsylvania in his native Philadelphia.

  1. Robb Armstrong is truly an amazing man-not only as a person, but a speaker. I’ve listened to this man and he was truly an inspiration to me, not to mention his great sense of humor. It’s easy to see why he’s so likeable.
