Norway charges 3 with conspiracy to commit terrorism

From the BBC: Prosecutors in Norway have charged three men with conspiracy to commit terrorism in connection with the 2005 Prophet Muhammad cartoon controversy. The three are accused of planning to attack Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard and the newspaper Jyllands-Posten, which published his cartoons.

Kurt Westergaard, who penned the most infamous Mohammed cartoon depicting the prophet with a bomb on his head instead of a turban, will stand trial next week in the Jordanian capital of Amman. Westergaard attacker sentenced to 9 years

A quick follow up to news I posted yesterday. The Somali man that allegedly tried to break into Kurt Westergaard’s home with an axe was found guilty. News today is that the sentence is a nine year prison sentence and near $2,000 fine. After being released, he will be expelled from Denmark.
