Ed Koren to be appointed Vermont cartoonist laureate

Anton Emdin honored as ACA 2013 Cartoonist of the Year (and two other categories)

Gene Weingarten earns Ernie Pyle Lifetime Achievement award

Gene Weingarten, best known for his Below the Beltway humor column in the Washington Post and his comic strip Barney & Clyde, has been nominated for the 2014 Ernie Pyle Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is conferred by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. He’ll receive the award next June during their annual conference.

Harvey Awards ballot now available

This year’s Harvey Awards ballot is now available to comics professionals. Ballots are due May 6th. This year’s Harvey Awards will be presented Saturday, September 7th as part of the Baltimore Comic-Con. If you’re old school, you can download the ballot and send it via the post office.
