New York Giants and Marvel Assemble a Comic

From NorthJersey.com:

Assemble New York Giants fans: the G-Men are officially joining the Marvel Universe.

The New York Giants are teaming up with Marvel for an Avengers-inspired crossover this season that is being billed as an “integrated collaboration” that will draw inspiration straight from the comics and thrust Big Blue into the world of iconic superheroes.

From Forbes:

For decades, the New York Giants have been viewed as superheroes among portions of their fan base.

And through a special collaboration with Marvel Comics, select players will team up with the Avengers in a special Giants-themed comic book to be distributed October 24 when New York hosts the Carolina Panthers as part of Marvel Super Hero Day.

From the New York Giants:

The first 30,000 fans who enter MetLife Stadium plaza gates for the [October 24] game will receive an exclusive collectible print copy of the comic book, while a digital version will also be available for fans to view on Marvel.com. An exclusive Giants-themed Marvel poster will also be available for season ticket holders later in August.

From Marvel Comics:

The NY Giants will make their first team appearance in a Marvel comic! The book will be released on October 24, when Big Blue faces the Carolina Panthers.

Not only will the comic feature the Avengers, but several Giants football players as well. Featured players will include: Daniel Jones (quarterback), Saquon Barkley (running back), Sterling Shepard (wide receiver), Leonard Williams (defensive lineman), Logan Ryan (defensive back), and Blake Martinez (linebacker).

Much as we’d like to give credit to the creative team of the New York Giants Marvel comic book no one seems to be naming the writer(s) and artist(s).

By the way, the New York Giants appeared in a couple Marvel comic books almost 30 years ago.
