Ed Hall Cartoon Not Welcome on Facebook

Ed Hall says

For the 1st time on FB I’ve had a cartoon taken down because they said it violated their “community standards” on hate speech. I suspect someone objected who didn’t understand that the cartoon is actually “anti-hate speech” describing a Muslim ban into Israel.

After Israel banned two U. S. Congresswomen from their country,
Ed Hall reminded Prime Minister Netanyahu there was a time when,
and a place where, his people were not welcome either.

Ed Hall also reported the incident on his Facebook page:

For the first time in my history on Facebook I’ve had a cartoon taken down because they said it violated their “community standards” on hate speech (whatever that is). I suspect some dolt objected because they didn’t understand that the cartoon was actually “anti- hate speech” in not allowing Muslims into Israel. Idiots. I’ve had my figure drawings taken down before, but never a cartoon. It is currently under review. Let’s hope this isn’t a trend. I’ve posted much worse in the past.

  1. Not the first time, unfortunately, that the mere depiction of something hateful (or to use the toothless psychobabble of recent years, “negative”) as a way of calling it out has been deemed itself “negative.” Algorithms haven’t taken over from people; people have become algorithms.
