The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal Regrets

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal today begs for pardon:

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal published an editorial cartoon this past Monday – a cartoon which deserves an apology.

The editorial cartoon caused anger and hurt for many in the community, including the law enforcement community – and for that we are regretful.

We apologize for publishing the editorial cartoon, and we regret that the cartoon does not depict the support for law enforcement that the A-J considers vital and important.

Again – the A-J apologizes.

I can only guess they have a pre-set mea culpa for when they do not give due deference to
Our Dear President and Congresspeople,
Our Beloved State and Local Governments,
Any and All Civil Servants,
The Knights of the Confederacy,
Antifa,
or any other group that can get at least two members to send a letter expressing disapproval.

The distressing Monday June 25, 2018 ed-op cartoon that the A-J editors picked and then wavered:

Yeah, we’re looking at you Rob Rogers
