Frozen odds favorite for Oscar wins

Goldderby.com looks at the competition for animated features vying for an Oscar this year. No animated feature has won more than two categories and never best picture. This year, the feature with the best odds: Frozen. Frozen has a good shot at tying the record of two category wins in Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song.

From Goldderby:

Best Animated Feature (odds of 9/5)
That is a strong lead over “The Wind Rises” (3/1), “Monsters University” (6/1), “Despicable Me 2” (9/1) and “The Croods” (9/1).
Best Original Song (odds of 13/8)
“Let It Go” is the favorite ahead of “Ordinary Love” from “Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” (9/2), “Young and Beautiful” from “The Great Gatsby” (6/1), “The Moon Song” from “Her” (12/1), and “Happy” from “Despicable Me 2” (16/1).

I’m not sure how the odds are calculated, but having seen a few of the features in question I would not be surprised with a strong showing for Frozen.
