Prosecutors want long sentence for Jihad Jane

I haven’t heard any news in a couple of years about Colleen LaRose, AKA “Jihad Jane”, who plotted to kill Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks. The New York Times reports that federal prosecutors are seeking a “very lengthy” prison sentence citing, “her punishment should serve as a deterrent to ‘other lonely, vulnerable people who might be enticed by online extremists promising fame and honor.'”

The Times also reports that while LaRose has been cooperative since her arrest, she’s shown no remorse or change in attitude. She’s scheduled to be sentenced next week in Philadelphia.
