9-foot bronze statue to honor Bil Keane planned
The Town of Paradise Valley is raising funds to erect a 9-foot bronze statue to honor Bil Keane. The statue, entitled “Giddy-Up Daddy”, was designed by sons Jeff and Glen.
Here’s a video tribute that was produced for the maquette unveiling.

Reminds me of ‘Maggie’s’ tribute statue for ‘Rick’ in ‘Northern Exposure;’ looks like a hood ornament.

I had no idea Bil Keane was 9 feet tall. The things you learn here.
I grew up in Scottsdale and spent a lot of time in Paradise Valley…this will be a very cool addition and honor for him and his family.
