The Times-Picayune celebrates 100+ years of editorial cartooning

The Times-Picayune has a nice write-up on the history of their staff editorial cartoonists since 1896. They’ve also posted a slideshow featuring the cartoonists and some of their cartoons. Luckovich’s early stuff looks a lot like Dick Lochers. Well worth a few minutes of your time.

In chronological order: Louis A. Winterhalder, W.K. Patrick, John Churchill Chase, Keith Temple, Eldon Pletcher, Byron Humphrey, Mike Luckovich, Walt Handelsman, and current cartoonist Steve Kelley.
