OMG WHY? Have they learned nothing from Japan, where live action versions of manga and anime are made all the time, and suck compared to the originals?

Hopefully it’ll be better than the BABY BLUES series from several years back.

Baby Blues was live action? I hadn’t heard of that. And now that I think about it, I’m glad I never saw it. I agree with Pyle – live action versions of animation or cartoons takes away the magic…

What’s it going to be called? “CSI Zits” starring Justin Bieber

Live action? Wow I cannot possibly see how a great cartoony strip like Zits will transfer to real actors? Be interesting to see.

Dave,

Actually, the Baby Blues series was animated. It aired on WB for few weeks, then Adult Swim aired it.

I wonder how they are going to deal with aging in live action version, as in the comic the characters didn’t really age.

I think it could be done well. There’s nothing wrong with mixing some surreal stuff with teen comedies. I’m thinking of Parker Lewis Can’t Lose and Better Off Dead.

Oh come on, look at how well The Grinch and The Cat in the Hat turned out using live actors!
