Congrats to Greg Evans, whose feature Luann turns 25 this March.

Luann may still be a teenager to her fans, but Greg Evans’ popular strip is turning 25 next month! On March 17, Luann marks a quarter-century in the comics with a special tribute strip and a thank you to its loyal fans.
“It’s amazing how fast 25 years speed by when you’re doing something you love,” Evans said. “Creating and sustaining a comic strip is a rare and wonderful thing – and it’s the only thing I ever wanted to do. So a huge ‘Thanks!’ to newspapers and readers for giving me the opportunity to bring Luann to life. I hope you’ve all had as much fun as I have.”
I’ve always been a sucker for this strip. I think I’ll celebrate by reading some reprint paperbacks. Congrats, Mr. Evans!
The title and article says 25 years, but the sub-title says 27 years. Which number is correct?

Happy 25th Anniversary. Mr. Evans– was just wondering if in the future you might weave in Molly And McGee the owls and their off-sping (living in your “backyard” of San Marcos) into one of your cartoons? As of this morning 3-28-2010 there have been over 3 MILLION people who have tuned in to watch. Bernice seems like the perfect person to be a animal lover. I have started reading your Luann and you have a character named Knute in there. My son’s name is Knute. It is a very usual name and I was just wondering where you came up with the name. My late husband’s was Knute and his father gave that name to him because he like the coach at Notre Dame with the name Knute Rockne. I was just wondering if that is where you came up with that name.
