International cartoon exhibit held during G-20 Summit

Pittsburgh will be hosting this year’s international G-20 economic summit and the ToonSeum will feature an international exhibit entitled “Drawn to the Summit: A G-20 Exhibition of International Political Cartoons” featuring editorial cartoons from the leading cartoonists from those countries. Exhibit opens September 18 and runs through October 18.

The cartoons will provide an alternative perspective on G-20 themes such as the global economy and its impact on the environment, human rights, world trade, etc. This exhibition offers the public an opportunity to view a diversity of cartooning styles worldwide and see the important role editorial cartoons plays in this global conversation.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Rob Rogers will be providing commentary and sketches of the event which will be viewable at the exhibit.
