RingTales launches new iPhone App for animated cartoons
RingTales, the company co-founded by Over the Hedge co-creator Michael Fry, has launched a new iPhone/iPod Touch app featuring their animated New Yorker cartoons. Unlike other cartoon iPhone apps where cartoons are viewed sequentially, The New Yorker Animated Cartoon iPhone App allows you to shake the phone to randomly show a new set of cartoon thumbnails to choose from. Cartoons are updated daily.

So i see ring tales is paying to license the cartoons but i don’t see any way they monetize it
