Bill Leak to be released from hospital
Australian cartoonist Bill Leak is set to be discharged from the hospital after a four day coma and emergency brain surgery after falling head first off a balcony on October 18. According to The Australian, Bill has no memory of the incident.
“When I woke out of the coma they explained to me what happened, I honestly thought this bloke (the doctor) is having a lend of me,” Leak told ABC Radio early today. I was quite sure that I had the cartoons to prove that I hadn’t been lying in that bed. You suddenly realize that four days had gone missing.”
