Dwane Powell keeps his job, temporarily
E&P is reporting that Dwane Powell will stay at The News Observer at least through the elections and perhaps until the end of the year. I reported earlier this summer that Dwane had been asked to drop down to a part-time freelance position with limited restrictions on the topics he could cover. He opted to leave the position entirely. On editorialcartoonists.com he reportedly says that thing changed, at least temporarily.
They asked me to stay until after the election. Essentially I’ll finish the year, though probably leave in late November.
