Newspaper brags about cartoonist they laid off

The Chicago Reader posted a story last week about the Northwest Herald bragging about its staff cartoonist, Scott Nychay, whom they had laid off months earlier.

This is one of those stories where I don’t know whether to laugh or cry, so I’m left just shaking my head.
