Steve Moore movie “Open Season” opens September 29th

Steve Moore, creator of In the Bleachers is an executive producer and co-creator of the upcoming movie Open Season that hits the theaters on September 29th. While Steve is no stranger to animation (he’s created animation shorts for ESPN and a children’s television series), this is his first feature film.  He submitted the idea to Sony in 2002 and it was quickly put into production as Sony’s first CGI film. Open Season stars Martin Lawrence, Ashton Kutcher, Debra Messing and Gary Sinise.

One last tidbit, the Universal Press press release hints that Steve is now writing another screen play for another CGI feature with Lion Gate Films.

  1. I’m sure you have heard from others about the dog being “Spayed”, rather than “Neutered”.
But we all knew what you meant, so I shouldn’t be so nit-picky.
Your golf gigs are the greatest, and I have never played the game.

  3. I saw one of your funniest cartoons the other day but can’t find it today.
On which day did you do the cartoon of the grizzley bear being lifted into the space ship?
Damn, if I’m referring to another cartoonist’s work, rather than pillory me, steal the idea!

    Thank you,

  5. I am attempting to contact Steve Moore. Is there an email address for him? Or, would you please pass our email address on to him?
    Thank you, Nancy Miller
