You know, the people who run this strip appear to have sold their soul to the devil. This is along with the rest of the world in the falling away, 2 THESS 2:3. I have noticed as of very late that they have taken a decided turn toward enabling the breaking of God’s commandments, judgements, statutes, and ordinances. Amen

Barreto is a great improvement over LeDoux. LeDoux’s art was precise, but flat. Cardboard cutouts is the phrase that comes to mind. Barreto understands depth, lighting and camera angles much better than LeDoux ever did. His mastery of brush pressure and contouring of the figures is classic. Yay.

Why is it that the artist Eduardo Barreto displays Abby as a 19 year old female with only one rigid self image; a sexually charged creature who must wear tight fitting, anatomy revealing, Brittany Spears type clothing ? Abby’s new image is that of a immature going on forty year old women, whose only desire in life is to display her navel, buttocks and cleavage with poses that one usually finds on magazine covers at the supermarket check out line. The two adopted daughters have more emotional maturity and common sense and strong concept of what makes a modern women of the world than the adult trollop that Sam is married to
Are we now all part of the hedonistic sex crazed culture that bombards young ladies and boys with the image of the scantly clad female as the ideal form of being NOW ? I know that this message will be as one rain drop on a sheet of tefflon.

I, for one, am enjoying the current storyline. However, when is Barreto going to update Sophie? This is supposed to be a young teenage girl. He’s got her dressed like she’s still 8 years old. I’m the mother of a teenage girl and believe me, no girl, even the so-called “geeks” dress like they’re still in elementrary school. To Barreto: You’ve updated the look of the rest of the characters, now follow through and finish it. Besides, she can be a brain AND hip too.
