Overboard in the top 5? That strip hasn't been funny in over a decade.

If newspapers think they're having problems now, just wait until their Baby Boomer audiance begins to die off.

Family Circus +585
Pearls Before Swine -475

Who does the voting, indeed! Peanuts is great, but this week, a baseball week, one of the punchlines involved Casey Stengel. Yes, the under 30 crowd chuckles heartily to hear of old-time managers.

What's missing from the article is the demographics of the respondents (age, education, income level--that sort of thing).

I'm seeing a lot of the edgier strips (Pearls Before Swine, Sherman's Lagoon) near the bottom and a lot of the nice friendly strips near the top.

Nobody expects every TV show to appeal to all audiences, but apparently comics are supposed to.

Next week: a series of articles looking at why people under 30 don't read the paper much any more!

(Sherman's Lagoon??!? That's a GREAT strip! What's wrong with these people???)
