Dan Piraro receives Genesis Award

Dan Piraro will receive the Ongoing Commitment Award at the 20th Annual Genesis Awards. The Genesis awards is put on by The Humane Society of the United States. Dan won the a Genesis award in 2002 for Outstanding Cartooning.

“Over the years, we have been proud to recognize Dan Piraro’s stunning work with Genesis Awards and commendations,” said Gretchen Wyler, Vice President of The Humane Society of the United States Hollywood Office. “We wanted to acknowledge Piraro’s work in a different way this year, and so we were delighted to honor him with the ‘Ongoing Commitment’ Award, only the second given to a cartoonist in the 20-year history of the Genesis Awards.”
