Day long cartooning class offered in Massachusetts
A day long cartooning class will be offered in Hingham Massachusetts by John Zaccone.
Zaccone will touch upon the three major cartoon formats — the political cartoon, the single panel cartoon, and the comic strip. But in a certain significant sense, he won’t do it alone. As students explore the process of creating a professional cartoon — from developing an idea to illustrating a finished piece — they will have the opportunity to examine original cartoons from not only Zaccone’s own professional-level though so far unpublished collection, but also by New Yorker cartoonists Leo Cullum and Charles Barsotti, Australian syndicated editorial cartoonist Vince O’Farrell, and strip cartoonist Peter Murphy (formerly with King Syndicates).
